Jo.Co Studio was created during a season of change in my life—one that pushed me to slow down, refocus, and redefine what I wanted both personally and professionally. After stepping away from my previous business to focus on my family, I felt a strong pull back to the beauty industry—but this time, with a different vision. I didn’t want to return to the same fast-paced, transactional experience. I wanted to create something more intentional, more personal, and more aligned with the life I was building.

the namesake

The name Jo.Co holds deep meaning. “Jo” is a middle name shared across generations—from my grandmother, Betty Jo, to myself, and to my two daughters, Stella Jo and Georgie Jo. It represents legacy, strength, and the reason behind everything I’m building. “Co” reflects the idea that this is something bigger than just a business—it’s a foundation for the future. Jo.Co Studio is where intention meets connection, and where beauty is about more than just how you look—it’s how you feel when you leave.

When I’m not behind the chair, you’ll find me with my daughters, Stella Jo and Georgie Jo—usually outside, staying active, and soaking up time together. I love anything creative, from gardening to little craft projects, and I’m always down for time with friends or trying a new local restaurant. Supporting small businesses and being part of my community is something that means a lot to me, and I’m passionate about giving back through volunteering and local involvement.
